We can slather ourselves with a gallon of products everyday, but if we don’t take care of our bodies it’s not doing us any good.
I’ve written an e-book about my own personal diet and exercise choices in the hope that it will help some other ladies find an enjoyable (yes, I mean enjoyable!) way to eat healthy and exercise for life.
Drop by Lulu.com and pick up a copy of The Walking Vegetarian.
I recently read Green Chic: Saving the Earth in Style by Christie Matheson. I don’t think I’m her target market; she’s aiming for a younger, hipper gal than me. However, it was a good read and she offers some excellent tips on how to “green” your life without resorting to wearing ratty clothes and skipping baths (she recommends taking very short showers).
I agree with her assessment of natural deodorants — they don’t work. I’ve tried them all and ended up smelling like an old goat. If you’ve ever been around intact, male goats then you know what I’m talking about! Science needs to work on coming up with a healthy alternative to the current formulas, but until they do I’m sticking with Secret.
Check it out at your local library or buy it at Amazon.

The latest issue of Mind, Body and Business just went out over the email waves. This issue’s articles:
Are you on the list or did you miss out? You can subscribe and not miss any more issues.
In case you missed it, Kanye West’s mother died during a cosmetic surgery procedure. She was buried here in Oklahoma yesterday.
I’ll admit I’m a chicken, I won’t even have Lasik done. So I’m certainly not worried about complications from cosmetic surgery.
Really, ladies, it’s just not worth it. If you follow my advice and take care of your skin and your health, you can age gracefully and not go under the knife. Save the potential hazards of surgery for when you really might need a lifesaving or pain-reducing medically necessary procedure.
If you need suggestions for a good, safe skincare routine, just let me know.
Buy organic, holistic, cruelty free, and botanical beauty products at Beauty.com.
On my never-ending search for the best in natural skincare I found a number of yummy products at Beauty.com. They carry many natural skincare lines including Phyto and L’Occitane. They also have a holistic line called Dr.Hauschka Skin Care. I’m happy to be able to offer you these products – you should see a graphic link to the right for easy shopping access. Also note that they offer free shipping on orders over $49.
If you have some wee ones on your holiday shopping list, you should stop by SuperSmartyPants.net. This online store features a variety of unique items for children. Time for potty training? You could get a Dog Potty… and it’s not for the dog; it’s a cute toilet seat any toddler will want to use.
Super Smarty Pants also carries a line of hand-crafted wooden toys and games, including a tool set and Chinese checkers. If you need something more cuddly, take a look at the Cozy Cookie. This gingerbread man shaped plush pillow is filled with rice and can be heated in the microwave to provide warm, soothing gingerbread-aroma comfort.
If you really must go high-tech, you can choose from a line of kid-sized computer desks and accessories. The piggy computer mouse may be just what you’re looking for.
